Mood Boosting Music for Intentional Movement

On Helen Phelan Studio, I don’t play music because as a one woman show, I don’t have rights to music- but also, because in a pilates practice, or any modality that centers (see what I did there?!) alignment, mindfulness, and technique, music can sometimes be distracting. I don’t know about you, but I’m someone who gets carried away with lyrics and imagines whole situations about the artist who wrote them and most of the time, for pilates I would rather focus on my breath.

However, sometimes you need the mood boosting, and sometimes distracting powers of music. This is a playlist of music that’s been my background noise for WFH and WOFH.

Enjoy!
